The History of John and Sandra Day, Surtec Services Ltd. and Nature’s Nutraceuticals Inc.

In 1999 we purchased an oil seed processing mill and began processing oil seeds under contract to numerous companies. In 2002, we began to survey and research the retail market. As a result of this and the fact that every health food store we talked to wished to carry our product, we began packaging for ourselves. Several farmers were contacted about growing the seeds we would require. The differences between Nature’s Nectars oils and others in the market are the following:

	Because we produce, process and market our product, we can sell our oils for less because there are no middle persons.
	Because of the fact that we are the processor and the marketer, our product never sits in bulk storage for extended periods of time, providing a very fresh product. We do not freeze our oils to maintain their longevity.
	Our products have a unique ability to be traced from the field where they were grown to the consumer. The seed travels in a clean truck to a licenced organic cleaning mill where the seed is cleaned to remove unwanted weed seeds and plant dust material. From the plant, the seed is returned to the producer, where it is stored at optimum storage conditions. The seed is shipped from storage to our bulk storage at the processing plant. The seed is then processed in our organic processing plant. The products are finally shipped to our organic certified packagers for bottling and packaging. The finished products are then returned to us and are shipped direct to the stores. As you can see, our products can be traced from the field to the consumer. The product takes only a few days from being a small seed to being in a bottle on its way to your store shelf.
